And so, we begin...

This week is the start of principle photography for Shields Of Justice, we have already started by doing a few test shoots on location and all looks set to begin.

The PCPD is starting take shape and the lobby is slowly begining to look and feel like the heart of patriot city's police department.

We have been doing some tests for The Chief's office and are glad to be working with Duke Palmer, who will be portraying the anxious Chief Rappappaport.

All is going swimmingly...

Bang Bang...

The fabulous Mr Jonts has bored out the prop revolvers to take some old shells.

Lovely job sir!

As the shoot looms...

7 days from principle photography...

Our initial Kay house shooting schedule has been drawn forward in line with getting the location, this has cause a few problems as we were still in pre-production. Nevertheless, we are excited as the location is absolutely perfect.

Filming during the easter holidays means a lot of our extras and crew have disappeared for the holidays (including most of our make up team)

Detetrmined not to let this slow us down we have been intensively working on the set dressing and wardrobe for the major characters.

The feature is fully cast now and we are battoning down the hatches on various production teams. However this is Guerilla filmaking so we are saving a lot of the crew for the bigger, more difficult shoots.

Our last minute decision to abandon the prop police badges we had and resin cast official PCPD ones, is tricky due to sourcing of mouldmaking silicon in the UK. It only seems right though, as the quality of props and wardrobe improves that the PCPD officers are rewarded with a proper shield for their uniforms.

We have also developed much more material to flesh out the world of shields of justice and for use as promos. This includes two 15-20 minute 'damaged' episodes and two short trailers.

This means we have even more stuff to shoot on the locations before Kay house yields unwillingly to the wrecking ball in future months.

All is still going surprisingly well....
